Clyde & Co to offer new aviation service in Venezuela

Clyde & Co is expanding the firm's aviation services in Caracas by offering specialist assistance in licensing and registration matters for small and mid-sized aircraft through their new division, Regijet®. This new venture will help domestic and international airlines currently operating or wanting to set-up in Venezuela.

Leading the new business enterprise is department head Rodolfo Ruiz A., who has spent the last two years focusing his practice on insurers and reinsurers’ interests in third party liability claims against local and international airlines.

Rodolfo is responsible for expanding the aviation practice throughout the country, he commented: "Driven by client demand, we are confident this new venture will be as successful as we have been in other jurisdictions where we have presence.  Our aim is to reinforce our position as the leading aviation firm in Venezuela.”

Caracas office co-head Jorge Faroh added: “We have done extensive work in the area and we now have the experience to establish ourselves as the go-to firm when it comes to aviation matters.”

"Together with our Rio de Janeiro office, we have built up an excellent reputation in the aviation market, not only in Venezuela but in the region at large and are very excited at the prospect of extending our capabilities further,” explains joint head of the Caracas office Aurelio Fernandez Concheso.

The new launch comes after the firm recently launched a sister division called Regiyat®,  which was created to offering similar services to yacht owners wishing to bring ships over 100 feet to Venezuela.

Clyde & Co has been awarded “Aviation Law Firm of the Year” by Who’s Who Legal for the last five years.
